Tell us your background in Physiotherapy
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in 2023. I acquired my Philippine PT license in the same year and my US PT license in 2025. This is actually my first job as a physiotherapist. It is quite daunting, to say the least, but the experience I’ve gained during my internship, handling patients with musculoskeletal and neurologic cases, has given me enough confidence in my knowledge and skills to be an effective physio.
What are your interests
Currently, I’m trying to practice self discipline and consistency in my fitness journey. I’m interested in reading research publications regarding my profession. Also, I’m an early 2000s fan of manga/anime especially in the sports genre. I love high fantasy novels. Video editing and digital illustrations are some of my hobbies. Coffee is my blood.
Tell us about a life-changing experience or adventure you’ve been on
As a former athlete who has experienced several injuries, I think it has significantly contributed to my perspective as a physical therapist who guides patients in their rehabilitation journey. Dealing with the pain and frustrations significantly impacts all our lives, which is why, for me, practicing empathy and encouraging therapeutic alliance is at the core of being a physiotherapist.
What is your area of expertise
My expertise centers on functional assessment and exercise prescription for musculoskeletal conditions and general wellness.
What is the most fulfilling part of job
Seeing my patients progress and achieve their functional goals. It really warms my heart that I could be part of someone’s recovery journey.
